WEGA Lectures

These are usually held at 7:30 on the second Tuesday of the winter months, from October to March inclusive. January is an exception as University vacations make the third Tuesday a more reliable date. Our AGM, usually accompanied by a lecture, is held in April, but the movable feast of Easter makes its date somewhat variable.

The location is in the Earth Sciences Lecture Theatre in the Wills Building of Bristol University courtesy of the faculty. The Wills Tower is immediately recognisable, near the junction of Park Street and Park Row in Bristol, next to the Bristol City Museum. The Lecture Theatre is reached by entering the large doors below the Tower and going straight ahead, between the staircases. Turn right through the first glass doors and the Lecture Theatre is on the left (G25).

Following the lecture there is cheese and wine available in the Common Room (for a small charge).
